Some structures are temporary, yet the impression they leave is lasting. Located in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Crimson Cloud is a sculptural installation that transforms an ordinary street corner into a moment of visual poetry. Inspired by the double-helix structure of DNA, the piece wraps itself around visitors like a spiral of movement, light, and color.

The undulating red acrylic roof descends to meet the ground, creating a playful interaction between solid and transparent forms. Depending on where you stand, the installation shifts between opacity and openness, inviting exploration from all angles. As the sun moves across the sky, the red layers cast evolving shadows, painting the space with different hues of crimson throughout the day. At a specific time, the central chamber becomes a mirror-like cathedral of light and reflection.

This temporary public artwork is more than a structure — it’s a playful interruption of the urban rhythm, inviting both children and adults into a space of imagination, wonder, and delight.
